Completing my A+ was an achievement for me, as I now feel closer to getting somewhere in life! I also had some trouble with the N+ as I've never done networking in such detail & really struggled with TMA8, having to resubmit it after getting my lowest mark of 68%, after re-reading the material & using the presentation CD I finally got 100% on the resubmitted assessment! The rest of the N+ seems like it will!! Another achievement would be being brave enough to use my girlfriends pink laptop, as mine has died!! :( I have told a close friend of the IT course that I am doing and he has asked me to teach him when I learn more about the pc course as I progress with my course which I intend to do. WHEN I STARTED WITH SKILLS TRAIN I WAS FINDING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO COMBINE WORK AND STUDIES AT THE SAME TIME. MY FIRST TUTOR MARKED ASSIGNMENTS MARK I OBTAINED 15% SHOWS HOW DIFFICULT IT WAS FOR ME. BUT I REALIZE THAT TO BE ''SOMEBODY'' IN FUTURE ONE MUST BE VERY FOCUSED IN DOING THINGS TO ACHIEVE A BETTER FUTURE. ALTHOUGH I WORK 80 HOURS A WEEK THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF MARCH, I STILL HAD TO BE FOCUSED AND AS A RESULT I HAVE ACHIEVED A MINIMUM OF 78% WITH MY TMA. I am 55,have been living and working in Leeds for the last 3 years after being made redundant in Norway where I moved to in 1975 and just over a month ago I signed up for A+N+. My first 4 tma's are done with fantastic results,never thought that I could achieve such results at my age. I feel that this course will help me,when completed regain employment back in Norway again. Just sent TMA05 and hope for the same results as the previous TMA's After a slow start, (pc failure at beginning - just what I didn't need!!) I feel that I am really enjoying, not only studying this course but the time I am taking out to to study the material. I was very apprehensive at first but I think that now after achieving 100% this time on my most recent TMA that this has now given me even more motivation for this type of learning. I realise that this might not be a massive achievement in terms of for example exam taking but I feel a great sense of achievement as this is what I have been looking to achieve and have now finally met my target, well at least for my first Section. Thanks for the help and support in getting me here!! I have improved my pass score from 83% to 93% on assignment TMA 02 thanks to great feed back on my previous assignment. This helped me to focus more on my work & try to better my scores. Since starting my course 2 months ago it has made me feel like I am going somewhere, since leaving school I took totally the wrong career options and have plodded along a lot of dead end jobs in the past 7 years. about 10 years now I have been into my IT/Pc's as a pure hobby and never realised how much I would love to take my hobby into a working career, in just a couple of months I am now well on my way into tma04 and feeling real good about my achievement's in the course so far and I am determined to continue my study to get to my new career set goals thanks to you guys :) I have been very slow in my course in the past but with the A+ I was actually doing well with first time passes over 80% and mostly 100%. However, due to some family and work pressure I requested that I be moved over to N+ AND CCNA. I HAVE JUST BEEN MOVED AND I WILL SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THIS COURSE before the scheduled time. After a long layoff my studies due to illness , I fill so determined to continue with my studies . this time around I find it easy to study so that I can achieve the goals which I set out when I enrolled for this course. I had to over come my illness first and most of I would like to thank the college for giving me more time to finish my studies,and like the tutor team with the support the give. I just recently install and configure a new NIC for first time on my PC.Its easy but interesting to me. Thanks to SkillsTrain. My friend came around with his pc because it would not boot up at all, he was getting a message up saying that his pc could not find the system 32 .dill or it was corrupt so I used his windows xp disk and did a system repair which I have never done or would have even tried or known where to start, doing this was successful and his pc now works again. I was confident to do this because of the work we covered in TMA02 ,I have more confidence to work with dos than I did before. A friend of mine recently contacted me as his PC was not running. I HAVE BEEN STUDYING THE A+/N+/MCSA COURSE ,I STARTED THE A+ JUST BEFORE FEBRUARY '08 AND MY GOAL WAS TO COMPLETE IT BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY IN APRIL, I HAVE JUST RECEIVED RESULTS FOR MY TMA31 AND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH MY RESULT AS IT MEANT THAT I ACHIEVED MY GOAL.SPECIAL THANKS TO SKILLSTRAIN !!
