I feel I have achieved so much this month I work full time as a supermarket manager doing over 50 hours a week and with christmas coming the stress is really on for me , also runnining my own photo buissness doing a further 16 hours a week working in nightclubs all weekends and I have already achieved 4 tma in a month with great passes and I find it so hard to study at home as I have two children under my feet at times . Have just passed comptia A+ Essentials & IT Technician The end of October and begining of November have really been quite very busy in any sense possible in my household. I have been pinned down with three sets of assignments for my university due in on the 8/11/07. To my mind, there was no way of dealing with all this and the SkillsTrain course. I was about to pick up a phone and annouce that I am quiting the course. Luckily enough, I have managed to get my self together and finish everything on time! More importantly not quiting the course! I have got some breathing space now, and as result I am doing quite well with the TMA submitions. What a period! I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY THIS LAST MONTH. OVERTIME AT WORK, HAVE DECORATED THE FLAT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS AND HAVE STILL MANAGED TO STUDY WITHOUT NEGLECTING MY FAMILY COMMITMENTS. ALL THE WHILE MY UNDERSTANDING OF COMPUTERS IS INCREASING EVERY DAY, I FEEL MORE CONFIDENT IN MYSELF BECAUSE AT FIRST I THOUGHT I HAD BITTEN OFF MORE THAN I COULD CHEW, BUT NOW I KNOW I CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IF I CONTINUE WITH THE STUDYING. I KNOW HOW HARD I HAVE WORKED THIS IS WHY I AM NOMINATING MYSELF. When I started my study programme I was not computer literate at all. I juggle between studying and long working hours at work. Through interest, hard work, perseverance and the determination to achieve positive results, I managed to excel when I submitted my TMA01 for marking. This month has been relatively difficult for me to combine work and reading(learning) but with a little bit of perseverance I think I will be able to achieve my target. I AM A FULL TIME PRINTER WITH A YOUNG FAMILY TO SUPPORT,MONEY'S TIGHT AND LIFE IS QUITE STRESSFUL,I GET PAID MONTHLY AND EVERY MONTH I JUST SCRAPE BY AND NO MORE. THE LAPTOP I HAVE HASNT EVEN BEEN PAID FOR YET. I STARTED THIS COURSE BECAUSE I BELEIVE IT IS THE PATHWAY TO A MUCH BETTER FUTURE EVEN THOUGH I KNEW VERY LITTLE ABOUT COMPUTERS BEFORE I STARTED. I am 36 of age, and I was working in (UCLH) university college of London hospital which I was a supervisor in domestic department. I was happy with my job and I loved it. I got up one day and I said to myself I want to have a change in my life. I decided to join skills train: I tell you I have been different since I come to know SkillsTrain. Now I am looking in the future leaving what I hated behind. I would consider my main achievements so far in my course has to be the learning curve in what I have learnt in computers and pc's so far, I can diagnose, strip-down and re-build a faulty pc with no need to revert to looking in any books or on the internet for help and advice. I started my course in 2005 but fell behind and slowly stopped doing it. Now I've started it again I failed the first Tutor Marked Assignment, so I knuckled down and in the last three weeks, I've done three Tutor Marked Assignments. I have come out with a 90% on TMA02 and TMA03 and have just submitted TMA04. The Live Internet Training was presented, easy to follow and useful session. Keep it up guys!! I was a mechanic for several years until a sports injury put pay to that so had to change job roles. I then went into general office work for a number of years but nothing too technical. I am now a full time househusband as my wife is the breadwinner, I look after my two young boys (3yr old & 1 yr old) during the day, normally up at 6am so can be quite a tiring day with the energy that they have & as they can be a little demanding sometimes. I have martial arts classes in the evening 3 times a week so have to be very strict with my study timetable but make sure that I get at least 7-8 hours in a week. I started the first two sections of the A+ course 2-3 weeks ago & have achieved 100% & a 90% pass mark respectively, just submitted section 3 so fingers crossed. I consider what I've done so far with my passmarks a great achievement especially when up until recently all I knew about computers was to turn it on, work certain programs & the internet & turn it off again!!
