Despite the recent death of a grandparent and the upset that comes with it, my family and close friends have encouraged me to carry on my studies towards my network+ certification, and I have produced a row of good tma results, and I am now revising for the exam. After several false starts and a year of redundancy, learning a new job, family bereavement and a close family member being found to be in need of kidney transplant I have finally managed to get my course up and running. JOINING SKILLSTRAIN IS AN ACHIEVEMENT,AND PASSING ALL EXAMS WITH HIGH GRADES WOULD BE A SUCCESSFUL AND GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR ME, SO,FINGERS CROSSED THAT THE BRAIN UNDERSTANDS WHAT THE EYES SEE... I have just recieved my results for my first TMA and recieved 100% which I was surprised at and I am ready for submitting my second so fingers crossed. Sent my TMA the about a week ago and got a 90% score, viewed where I went wrong with documentation, and think I now understand. Im now starting to understand about troubleshooting in different scenarios, the difference between hardware and software, different O/S's and their features, using MS-DOS command lines, and understanding about files and their extensions. I recently had to deal with the unfortunate death of my sister. I felt as though all was lost but knowing that I have so much to achieve through skills train has helped pull me through such a depressing time. I am nearly finished my A+ and im looking forward to doing my N+. Id like to say thank you to everyone at the Skillstrain. I HAVE SUCCESFULLY COMPLETED ALL OF THE FIRST PART OF MY COURSE AND AM HALF WAY THROUGH THE SECOND PART WHICH. I FEEL BEING AS I WORK 50 HOURS A WEEK. HAVE A WIFE AND 4 YEAR OLD SON I WOULD SAY IS ONE HELL OF AN ACHIEVEMENT AND I'M PROUD OF MYSELF. HARD WORK I KNOW WILL PAY OFF IN THE END. I WANT A BETTER FUTURE AND AM GETTING EXCELLENT FAMILY SUPPORT. Being an service engineer, this coursework has help me understand and fulfil my role. With the knowledge I have gained I have repaired products alot faster. First time studying for over 11 years. Working 12 hour shifts and still fitting in 20 hours+ studying a week. Getting a real grip of it, despite numorous interruptions from 2 young children (age 2 and 7). When I came here a 1.2 year ago I thought I can never find a job better than work on the production assembly line, After months of trying to find a job close to IT, struggling the studying, homelife, kids and work (shifts patterns) I can finally see that it will all be worth it in the end - thank's to my hard work and knowledge from my studies I got a better job in Virgin Media as a Service Technician and this role will give me more time to study and more time for homelife and will help me to have try move more into the I.T dept. Last month finally I got a new Job close to IT and telecommunication business. I am 30 years old and I have been working in a factorys for most of my life working dirrerent shift patterns I have no skills or future. So I decided to do something about it and sign up with the skills train. I started the a+ (msca course) iam half way through the first book and iam am already giving advice to colleages and freinds how to fix problems and to upgrade their computers.thanks to skillstrain I can see a future infront of me now for me and my family. I have been with skills train now for a year, it has not been easy, my wife has depression and anxiety and up until August this year I have been working 3 jobs as well as doing my A+. Th course has kept me focussed despite not being able to commit as much time as I would like. At the beginning of September I was diagnosed with depression due to my workload and the pressures of family life. The A+ is almost complete and I am looking forward to the N+. With my new qualification I hope to change jobs and reduce my workload. 2008 could look a lot less stressful and a lot more hopeful.
