I have enjoyed every single part of my course so far and even due to ill health in 2006 and a near marriage breakdown I have returned this year to resume my studies,I'm now even more determind to pass my course and show people that even through aversities and struggles, that I can do it.
I have always spoken highly to friends and family of how enjoyable but also of how important it is for me to pass my course,as computers are more than just a machine to me,they are a passion and a hell of a lot of enjoyment, even more so in building, repairing and upgrading them.

My achievements in doing my course work so far,is pass marks of 100%'s,90%'s,80%'s and 70% score marks.I get these marks even though I'm a dad of 4 children and hold down a full time night porters position as my employment.

Since I started my course I have found it very hard to settle into a routine of study due to the hectic pace of life for mdern day young families. I have changed my job 3 times since I started the course so it has been hard to set time aside to study at the same time as getting use to new jobs. I am now settled in my job as a postman which I started at the beggining of April and this October as a family we have made some changes to help me progress with my course. My wife has given up her job at tesco so that she can pick the children up from school, which then allows me to come home do housework and study before the children get home I find it very important to have peace and quiet whilst studying, although I am having to work extra hours as a postman to make up the money which my wife is now not earning so I go in early everyday (4:30am) to make that up, and we are also being agents for avon to bring in a bit extra to help. I have found it very usefull to draw up a plan to set time aside for everything in the day, including study and even the time I go to bed, it sounds very boring but it realy does work. I also had to change my course material to the 2006 objectives as I would not be finished on the 2003 objectives in time to take the examination so that was a bit of a set back to start the tma's again. But as I said we've made changes in October and I have already passed 3 tmas and I am waiting for results on a 4th, I am now determined to continue at this rate until I finish the course and then go onto the N+ course, I'll keep you all posted on my progress.

Finally settling down after relocation and adhereing to my study plan.
This has been very difficult over the last year due our big move from surrey to devon. During this time I have continued my work at the NHS , settled my 2 gilrs in to school and supported my husband trough a breakdown as his business had not taken off. But now after it has all settled down I have been able to fit into my lifestyle a structured time to study and re-train my self after 20years to do revision and take part in my TMA's. This has helped me build my own self confidence which took a major downward turn due to lack of training in my new job.
Now I am feeling more positive and working towards a goal of certification in my 20years+ knowledge on IT equipment.
I now feel I have turned the corner and will endeavour to continue my studies as the last 6 weeks have proved I can in my current lifestyle
So far I have completed TMA 3 then TMA4 with a retake as first time I tried without too much revision in one of my weakest areas, then did TMA 5 all with passes above 80% TodayI have just submitted TMA 6. I am now off to start on TMA 7 study.

Managing to still continue with my course at a reasonable pace even though I am currently changing job to try and increase my health. I have not been well recently and even have to go to hospital tomorrow so managed to complet a TMA today and hope to be getting more study done during my stay in hospital. I am finding this course to be of great depth but also put to me so it is as easy as it can be to understand. Thank you

I was never a very good listener at school, always found myself distracted, and up until I moved to bristol, not much had changed. I'd been living at home with my mum for 23 years and had sunken into an easy life. I then met my girlfriend on the internet, and after a year of seeing each other at weekends, I moved house. Since then I feel I've really tried to progress my life, not only emotionally, but educationally as well. I've really got into doing my A+ and N+ course and am really enjoying it. Finally I have found something that has held my interest, and will hopefully bring in some decent money to help support my girlfriend and her daughter, who I am living with. My life has had some ups and downs, especially with my father dieing at the young age of 49 from cancer. So now, I feel as though I'm going some way towards bettering myself while he looks down from above. This is a happy moment in my life, and this course is definately helping to achieve my goal.

I am 48 years old and it's a long time since I was at school, so I thought I would do something to keep my brain active, so I joined skills train. It keeps me active and I am learning a new career I would recommend it to anyone. I am on TMA31a and my results average 80-100%; don't be disheartened at the beginning if you find it hard, you just have to persevere and carry on. Taking the course was the best decision I made, I have learnt so much from the course, and if you are stuck on a problem, it really is worth asking for assistance. Good luck to all students!

I have so far passed all the network assignments that I have taken and at work yesterday I managed to fix the shops telephones and got the shops chip and pin machine sending data again. It was tricky given the ancient software, at least it got the District Manager out of the shop so she would stop rebooting my till!
